I bought this for my son and really liked it. When I got pregnant again I decided to try another one so they would be different- however I was not satisfied with the other one, and ended up purchasing this one again. I love that it has a lot of room to keep track of the Dr appointments- I had a high risk pregnancy so it really came in handy to have details of each appointment. I also like that it asked specific questions about each trimester that helps you keep track of each little step of your pregnancy. It has plenty of room for sonogram pictures and a baby shower section. It is very thorough and a great way to keep track of all the memories of your pregnancy.Product details

I read the other reviews before I purchased this book and I was very disappointed after receiving it. After all the positive reviews I expected something better. If you feel like writing an essay every month of your pregnancy and about all the emotions you have at each and every doctor visit this book might be right for you but if you want a pregnancy memory book which is more like a summary with a lot of "first time when..." and lots of space for photos you do wanna look for another one. this is more like a diary and I really didn't like it. There is also no section about the father of the baby, not even a family tree for his side of the family. Not the kind of pregnancy keepsake I had in mind. Additionally the corners of the pages were bent and it looked like it had been handled before even though it was wrapped in plastic when I received it. There are better books out there. I ended up sending it back and making my own book...
I looked through about 100 different journals before deciding on this one. I was a little nervous buying it online because I didn't know what the entire contents held, but I am more than pleased. There are a few black and white pictures of babies and women in the book that are so adorable. A majority of the book is 'fill-in-the-blank', but there is also plenty of space to write your own journal entries, letters to your baby, and updates on how your are feeling mentally and physically from time to time. All of the prompts are fun and interesting to write about. I can't wait to share this journal with my baby when he (or she!) gets older!
I bought this book for my first child almost 4 years ago & bought a 2nd one with my current pregnancy! I love that there is a place to add details of appointments, pictures, shower pictures, and family information as well. I know i have read the 1st book a couple times already & i hope both of my kids will enjoy reading them when they are older, or perhaps having kids of their own!
I'm certain there is no perfect pregnacy journal, but for my needs and what I've seen, this one is pretty good. My only complaint is that I wish it had more blank pages for journaling. There are 10-12 pages, but I like to write a lot and have to be more limiting with how much I write. I see that other people complain about the verbiage being only directed toward the mom and not the dad. I see NO problem with this because this is just for me. Between me and baby. I often write about my husband in the journal too, so he is included in the book by what I write. The pages are clean and fresh and the photos are great. Lots of room to write about each docotor visit! Overall it's a terrific journal.
This journal is the BEST. I reviewed so many pregnancy journals before purchasing this one and definitely made the right decision. It certainly covers everything, from your own birth and family to that of your baby's. There are plenty of prompts for those who need them, as well as lots of blank (lined) pages for your own independent journaling. There are sections that discuss your physical/emotional health for each trimester, every doctor's appointment, places to put ultrasound photos and pregnancy/belly photos, nursery ideas/photos, baby shower photos and invites...and more! This journal is beautiful, tasteful, and well made. Any sections you may not be interested in (or don't fill up) may be torn out of the journal so as not to leave a bunch of blank, unfinished pages. While some reviewers did not like how this journal is not father-friendly, such did not bother me. It is my personal journal and to be quite honest, my husband is not the journaling type and not interested in recording his feelings!! I highly recommend this journal. I thoroughly enjoy all the quiet time I have spent with it!!! It is very special to me and will one day be passed on to my baby.
I have two of these and they are just wonderful! I had one with my daughter back in 2007 and liked it so much that I bought another for my son (due 2011). I love the way it's laid out as a guided (but not too much so) journal. It asks just the right amount of questions and gives you enough space to write out any additional information you want to add.
My only beef with it was that under the family tree info there is no page for Dad's information! I understand that it is the mother's journal, but the Dad's family info should have a space too. I solved it by simply making a copy of the page for my family before I filled it out and stapled it into the book where it should have been.
I have recommended this to quite a few friends over the last few years and will continue to do so as long as it's available.
After reading several reviews I purchased this journal, but once I received it was not what I was hoping for. The larger size is not what I'm wanting in a quick, pick up everyday and jot a memory down, type of journal. I was looking for a week by week journal during pregnancy and this only had nine pages to write weekly happenings. I did not like how it was not very well organized, no tabs to section off the different parts of the journal. I thought I would try something different because I like the look of this journal, but I will be returning this and getting my tried and true pregnancy journal the What to Expect When Your Expecting Organizer and Pregnancy journal. I have used it with my previous three pregnancies and will once again with my fourth.
